Tournament Payouts and Knockouts

How to give a tournament its payout ladder from a PokerCraft picture or by hand, where prizes, bounties and knockouts are shown, and how to read the list of knockouts with an estimated worth for each.

A tournament summary gives one number: what you received. BluffLog splits it into the prize for your place and the bounties, and counts how many opponents you knocked out. Every tournament has a card for this, “Tournament: payouts and knockouts”.

Prizes, bounties and KOs in the tournament table

The Sessions page: the selected session's tournaments with Prizes, Bounties and KOs columns, and the session's hands below

  • Prizes is what you received, bounties aside: the prize for your place.
  • Bounties is the money for the players you knocked out. A ”≈” marks an estimate.
  • KOs is how many players you knocked out. If two players knocked one out and split the pot, the knockout is split between them, so the number can be a fraction: “3½”.

The cup at the start of a row opens the tournament’s card. A faint cup means no payout ladder is saved yet; a bright one means it is. Clicking the number in the KOs column opens the same card straight on the list of knockouts.

The payout ladder

The tournament card on the Enter by hand tab: the prize part of the buy-in, entries, starting bounty and a table of tiers, Places from, to, Prize

The top of the card shows what the summary says: the prize part of the buy-in, the number of entries, the prize pool and the starting bounty. There are two ways to give the tournament its ladder:

  • Load from PokerCraft. Save the tournament results in PokerCraft as a picture and drop it on the card: the app reads places and prizes and checks the total against the summary.
  • Enter by hand. Tiers of “Places from, to, Prize, $” are added and removed with the buttons. The line at the bottom checks the ladder’s total against the prize pool.

A saved ladder is used beyond this card: the money figures in the “Shove or fold?” step and the Money EV line are priced by it.

Result and knockouts

The Result and knockouts tab: what you received split into prizes and bounties, and a list of knockouts with time, hand, cards, the opponent's stack, share and estimated worth

The first line breaks down what you received: “Received $696.53 = prizes $491.97 + bounties $204.56 · 22 knockouts”. Below it is every knockout: time, hand number, your cards, the stack of the player you knocked out, your share of the bounty and ”≈ Worth”. Each knockout’s worth is an estimate: at least half the starting bounty, with the rest of an exact total shared by the stacks of the players knocked out. The total on Profit

MTT Profit: profit and ROI, with a line of cost, received, prizes, bounties and KOs under them

Under profit and ROI sits a line with cost, received, prizes ≈, bounties ≈ and the number of KOs across every tournament in the filter. Here ”≈” means part of the split is an estimate, from knockouts or from a typical payout ladder. A PokerCraft picture on the tournament’s card gives its exact sum.
