Privacy Policy — BluffLog | What Data the App Sends

BluffLog is an offline poker session analysis app. We take your privacy seriously.
Data we DO NOT collect
- Hand history and game data
- Player nicknames and identifiers
- Financial information (results, bankroll)
- Contents of your BluffLog database
All poker analytics run locally on your computer. This data never leaves your device automatically. There are exactly two exceptions, and you switch both on yourself: an import error report and the anonymous hand corpus. Both are described below. Nothing is sent without your explicit consent, and you always see exactly what travels.
Import error report
When hands fail to process, the app asks your permission to send those specific hands so we can fix the parser. Every report is its own question with Send and Don't send; nothing goes on its own.
Anonymous hand corpus
You can help the project build statistics on how the field actually plays, so that the trainer's norms rest on real data rather than on our idea of it. This is off by default and only you can turn it on — separately for future imports and for the hands already in your database.
What travels:
- stake, format and table type
- positions relative to the button, stacks, every action
- the board and any known cards
- pot, rake and jackpot
- the date to the day, and the app version
What never travels:
- the hand id and the table name
- the exact time the hand was played
- the tournament number, your finish and your prize
- player identifiers
- any marker of whose hand it was
The install id never enters the corpus. It exists only to count your contribution and is stored separately from the hands — the hands themselves contain nothing that points at you. You can switch sending off at any time, but what has already been sent cannot be recalled: nothing remains in the corpus by which your hands could be found.
Data we collect
To improve the product, we collect anonymous usage statistics:
- Which app features are used (no content details)
- Error and crash reports
- App and OS version
- General performance metrics
This data contains no personal information and cannot identify you or your gameplay.
Personal data
Personal data (email, name) is collected only if you explicitly provide it — for example, when contacting support or subscribing to updates. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
Data storage
Your BluffLog database is stored locally on your computer. We have no access to it. Backup and deletion are entirely under your control.
